Vote YES and fund bills to Hold Police Accountable
Dear Representative _[Last Name]_,
As a constituent in the district you serve, I ask you to support the package on policing bills being put forth by the House Committee on the Judiciary.
Pacific Northwest Family Circle is a group of Families whose Loved Ones were killed by police, many of them throughout Oregon. I believe them when they say:
Over 390 Loved Ones have been killed by police in Oregon since 1996, and not one officer has been held accountable.
That’s too many already. And yet, from Portland Copwatch’s data: another 30 Families in Oregon are likely to be subjected to the devastating grief of losing a Loved One to police violence in 2021.
I want you to hold police accountable for misconduct and excessive force. Every member on the House Committee on the Judiciary approved this package of nine (9) bills starting with House Bill 2513* to move forward in the process, so…
Vote YES on the policing bills AND fully fund them.
Thank you for your service to the community and supporting Families most impacted by police violence.
Sincerely,

Encourage House Members to Hold Police Accountable
Dear Senator _(Last Name)__,
As a constituent in the district you serve, I ask you to urge colleagues in the House to support the package on policing bills being put forth by the House Committee on the Judiciary.
Pacific Northwest Family Circle is a group of Families whose Loved Ones were killed by police, many of them throughout Oregon. I believe them when they say:
Over 390 Loved Ones have been killed by police in Oregon since 1992, and not one officer has been held accountable.
That’s too many already. And yet, from Portland Copwatch’s data: another 30 Families in Oregon are likely to be subjected to the devastating grief of losing a Loved One to police violence in 2021.
I want you to hold police accountable for misconduct and excessive force. Every member on the House Committee on the Judiciary approved this package of nine (9) bills starting with House Bill 2513* to move forward in the process, so…
Urge Colleagues in the House to: Vote YES on the Judiciary’s nine policing bills AND fully fund them.
On another policing-related bill, House Bill 2481 being considered by the Senate Committee on Judiciary relates to obtaining military surplus equipment. Oregon Loved Ones Remi Sabbe and Captain Brian A. Babb were both killed from the perch of an armored vehicle obtained through the military surplus program. I also urge you to:
Vote YES on the HB 2481 A
Thank you for your service to the community and supporting Families most impacted by police violence.
Sincerely,

CALL REPRESENTATIVE
Hello Representative _(Last Name)__,
As a constituent, I ask you to fully support the nine policing bills being forth by the House Committee on the Judiciary.
Today, I call at the request of Pacific Northwest Family Circle, a group of Families who know the devastating pain of police violence. In the last 28 years, over 380 Loved Ones have been killed by police in Oregon. Another 30 Families in Oregon in 2021 are likely to learn a bleak reality that Pacific Northwest Family Circle already knows… not one officer has ever been held accountable for killing a Loved One. Let’s change that.
Support impacted Families in their leadership: Vote Yes on the Judiciary Committee’s nine policing bills AND fully fund them.
Thank you for your service to the community and supporting Families most impacted by police violence.
