Letter Sending Invite and Directions for Melvin and Robert Dillon’s COVID-19 emergency release to home confinement

Pacific Northwest Family Circle is working on behalf of Family Member Mary Barbee (Cousin of 29-year-old Loved One Wesley Allen Barbee and Mother of Melvin Lewis Dillon (who was almost killed by police)). In mid-June, we wrote a letter to ask for the home confinement of her two sons, Melvin Dillon and Robert Dillon who are incarcerated in Nevada. They are both at high risk of severe illness from COVID-19. COVID-19 is now spreading quickly through the prison where they’re being held pre-trial (i.e. they have not been convicted of a crime).

Nothing has changed except that Melvin and Robert are at an even higher risk of contracting it. COVID-19 is rampant. And, guards and nurses appear to refuse to wear masks, some of them all day while at work.

Thank you for considering this request. If you have trouble with anything, don’t hesitate to contact us! info at pnwfamilycircle dot org

PRO TIP for some privacy: I have a “junk” email I use for actions like this one. Also, when a phone number is required, I enter a phone number that is one digit off from my actual phone number to make it look like a typo.

#6 Send a letter to SENATOR CATHERINE CORTEZ MASTO

  • Actually the email contact form is a twisted maze to navigate and at the end, it prints out a pdf that the Senator tells you to mail to her.

Instead of all that, we’re going to create a petition. Sign it when it’s ready. To find out when it’s ready, sign up for the Mailing List.

The good news is that Senator Catherine Cortez Masto has already tried to investigate Nevada Southern Detention Center in-person. They didn’t let her past the front door on this most recent visit.
  • We will fax new signatures to Senator Catherine every week. (Yep. Fax. That’s how they do it these days… Anything to make it hard for us to communicate with them.)
